Trams used to run a regular service through Middleton Woods. There was even tram stops situated at various points around the route. One of the stops used to be at the bottom of the steps that can be seen in the photo below. If you look carefully when you next visit you can see what is left of the old tracks. These are my photos that I took while out with my children on two different trips.

Here are a few of my photos that I took of the remnants of the old Ice House in Middleton Woods. It is said that the ice house belonged to Middleton Lodge.
Middleton Lodge was the home of Miss Maude and her family. Before the Maude family it was the home of the Brandlings. A lot of people will remember the Lodge when it was the Middleton Park Golf House The Lodge is no longer standing and was demolished in the 1990s. |
